Animal Habitats in Year 1

Year 1 students shared their Animal Habitats presentations with Reception Year 2 and Year 3 students. Miss Fíona, their teacher, explains the project to us:

“It was a very holistic project in which the children explored and learned about animals in different habitats around the world. They combined various learning skills across many subject areas. As well as the science, they developed their research skills in Computing, created a fact file about their chosen animal and widened their understanding of the world through learning about countries, continents and oceans in Geography. It all culminated in the creation of their chosen habitat in a shoebox, with animals made with plasticine and card".

On a different day, Year 1 parents came to class to listen to all the presentations too. Congratulations to all Year 1 students for their amazing work!
