What makes us different

British experience

In Primary, students receive all their lessons in English with the exception of foreign languages. We follow the British curriculum, providing our pupils with the same learning experience children have in the United Kingdom. Children start learning Spanish in Year 1 and French in Year 5.

House Competition

When students join The British School of Navarra, they are assigned to one of our four houses: Roman, Normans, Saxons or Vikings. Each student can be awarded points for their good behaviour and achievements during daily activities or special events such as Science or Art week. On Fridays, all students' points are added to their House count. Only one house will be the winner of the House Cup at the end of the school year!

Reading and writing

We value the importance of reading and writing. Our students have programmed reading time as part of their learning activities. During those lessons they can visit the library and borrow any books they like. We encourage creative writing through stories, poems and other compositions.

Weekly assemblies

Our students attend two assemblies every week. At their Monday assembly they address which skills or objectives they will be focusing on the following days. On Fridays students evaluate the work done during the week and point certificates are awarded. During these sessions, teachers use songs, acting and games to help students learn how to solve their conflicts or express their emotions among others.
